Frank Kotz, 75, of Nederland, died Monday, March 31, 2014. He was born September 3, 1938, to Rita Velma and Willie Jacob Kotz, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the Mid-County area. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as an Operator for Equistar Chemical Company, having retired after twenty-seven years of employment. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the beach.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Sue Kotz; sons, Kevin Kotz and Jason Kotz and his wife, Tracie; daughters, Kimberly McKee and Jennifer Kotz, all of Nederland; stepson, Todd Everett and his wife, Renee, of Irmo, South Carolina; stepdaughter, Kimberly McCracken of Holly Hill, South Carolina; grandchildren, Devin, Jacob, Caden and Cameron; step grandchildren, Teague, Ava, Ella and Jesse; and sister, Sue Holt of Houston.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Kotz; parents, Willie Jacob and Rita Velma Kotz; and brothers, Willie Kotz, Jr. and Marlin Kotz.

A gathering of Mr. Kotz’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
