Margaret Deshotel, 80, of China, died Sunday, March 23, 2014. She was born on August 27, 1933, to Zelia Royer Breaux and Adam Breaux, in Jennings, Louisiana.

Survivors include her daughters, Lorree LaRocca and her husband, Thomas and Genevieve Baxter and her husband, John; sons, Hillary Deshotel and his wife, Patricia; Gary Deshotel and his wife, Vickie; and Ricky Deshotel and his wife, Brenda; sisters, Joyce Smith and Betty Daigle; brothers, Robert Breaux and David Breaux; grandchildren, Lisa Doherty, David LaRocca, Deanna Doyle, Bryan Deshotel, Misty Head, Jason Deshotel, Brittany Deshotel, Tabetha Deshotel, Tanner Deshotel, Brad Eads, Brandi Eads, and John Monteau; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley Deshotel; and two brothers, Donald Breaux and Emery Breaux.

A Rosary for Mrs. Deshotel will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends to follow, Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 Highway 90, China, with interment to follow at China Cemetery.
