Bonnie Sue Ransonette
September 28, 1961 - March 20, 2014

Bonnie Sue Ransonette, 52, of Beaumont, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was born on September 28, 1961, to Ruby Courville Ransonette and Harold Ransonette, Jr., in Port Arthur.

Bonnie attended and made many lifelong friends at Travis Elementary and Thomas Edison Junior High.  She is a 1980 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur where she was drum major of the Red Hussars Drum and Bugle Corps, which is one of her proudest achievements.

Bonnie was an amazing dancer who won many dance contests and she was a member of the Wild Bill’s Outlaws dance instructor group. She also made many close friendships during her years as a bowler.  She loved estate sales, New Orleans, traveling with her mom and her aunts, and ghost hunting.

She attended Lamar University as an adult studying history, anthropology, and archeology and was very close to obtaining her lifelong goal of getting her Bachelor’s Degree.

Bonnie worked as an auditor for Jefferson County and previously worked in several banks in the area throughout the years.

All of the nieces and nephews called her “Nanny.”  Her godchildren, Cory Anderson, Katie Grillo, Roni Adams, and Ava Anderson, were the light of her life.  Although she never had children of her own, she loved her dogs with her whole heart and is now happily reunited with Tasha and Baxter.

She was an active and proud member of St. Jude Catholic Church where she attended mass with her mom every week and where she made many close and dear friendships.

Survivors include her mother, Ruby Courville Ransonette of Beaumont; sisters, Laurie Anderson and Terry Grillo and Terry’s husband, Dan of Beaumont; brother, Stuart Ransonette and his wife, Kim, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Cory Anderson and his wife, Jamie; Elliott Grillo and his wife Maritza; Alec Grillo; Katie Grillo; Sean Ransonette; and Christian Ransonette; great-nieces, Ava Anderson, Isabelle Grillo and Freya Grillo and great-nephew Lucas Anderson; special friends Kelly and Clay Adams; a multitude of other relatives and too many friends to list here. She was preceded in death by her father Harold “Red” Ransonette.

We would like to extend a special thank you to our friend and advisor, Alicia Horn, and to Altus Hospice for their loving care of Bonnie.
