Mike Price, 68, of Nederland, died Friday, March 14, 2014, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. He was born February 1, 1946, to Helen and David Price, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Mike is a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from the Lamar University Police Department in Beaumont and had also worked as a jailor with the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Department. Mike enjoyed rebuilding old classic cars and racing.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Price; daughters, Patti “Allie” Price, and Paige Price Batchelor and her husband, Colin, all of Nederland; grandchildren, Tyler Hopper, Taryn Hopper and Garrett Batchelor; brothers, Donald Price and his wife, Cindy, Gary Price and his wife, Jo Lynn, all of Mont Belview and Roger Price and his wife, Kathy, of Nederland; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Price’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
