George Monceaux, 80, of Winnie, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Vidor Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on December 6, 1933, in Thornwell, Louisiana, to Mary Trahan Monceaux and Claude Monceaux.

George is survived by his sisters, Wanda Frederick and Betty Miller, both of Vinton, Louisiana; and brothers, Jimmy Monceaux and his wife, Sonia, of Sulphur, Louisiana; Larry Monceaux and his wife, Judy, of Vinton, Louisiana; and Harold Monceaux and his wife, Donna, of Port Arthur.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Monceaux; parents, Mary and Claude Monceaux; and brothers, Boonie, Roy, Junior, Joe, Donald, and Tiny Monceaux.

A gathering of Mr. Monceaux’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
