Dottie Lewis, 72, of Beaumont, died Friday, February 21, 2014, at Harbor Hospital, Beaumont. She was born on March 11, 1941, to Ethel Mae Richardson Peek and Noah Louis Peek, in Alexander City, Alabama.

Survivors include her children, Sheila Lynn Palmer and her husband, Todd; Michael Andrew Lewis; Philip Ryan Lewis; and Alexandria Lenee’ Lewis; grandchildren, Kassy Aiena and her husband, Leon, Jr. and Michael Eavan Lewis; great-granddaughter, Alyssa; sister-in-law, O’Neil Cook and her husband, Cole; niece, Becky Embry and her husband, Walt; nephew, Dwight Allen Peek and his wife, Lisa; and great-nieces, Ashley Peek Gallman and her husband, Adam and Autumn Peek Myers, and her husband, Matt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-eight years, Warren V. Lewis; and brother, Noble Peek.

A gathering of Mrs. Lewis’ family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. An additional gathering will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014, at Christian Fellowship Worship Center, 3950 Pointe Parkway, Beaumont. A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Talladega, Alabama.
