Paul Burnett, 63, of Winnie, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. He was born on December 9, 1950, in Beaumont, to Ada Rolfe Burnett and David Burnett and had been a longtime resident of the area.

Paul loved fishing, hunting, camping, and playing with his grandchildren. He was always willing to help. Paul was loving, caring, happy and easy going. He was PawPaw and Grandpaw.

Survivors include his wife, Candice Burnett; children, Amy Burnett Leal and husband, Gilbert, of Houston; John Brian Burnett of Silsbee; Joe Raymond Ceballos of Beaumont; Melisa Castie of Fannett; and Christina Mueller and her husband, Doug, of Fannett; sisters, Mary Ezell and her husband, Gene, of Buna; and Teresa Burns of Silsbee; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and brothers, Keith Burnett and Brian Burnett.

The family would like to thank Dr. Uma Sukhavasi and the ICU staff at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas for their loving care they provided.

A gathering of Mr. Burnett’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Broussard’s Chapel, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
