Larry Eugene Hoke, 66, of Kountze, died Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was born on January 17, 1948, in Silsbee, to Ella Mae Knight Hoke and Dewey Webster Hoke, Sr., and had been a longtime resident of Kountze. Larry retired from Victory Temple in the maintenance department.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Hoke; children, Shannon Ridge and her husband, Jim, of Thicket and Gerald Hoke and his wife, Lorrie, of Kountze; grandchildren, Catie Dominy, Ariel Ridge, Brittany Ridge, Darrien Hoke, Trysten Hoke, Nathan Hoke, and Austyn Hoke; great-granddaughter, Sophia Dominy; sister, Betty Manning of Buffalo; and brothers, C.D. Hoke of Buna, James Hoke, Tim Hoke, and Robert Hoke, all of Silsbee, and William Hoke of Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Fann; and his brother, Roy Hoke.

A gathering of Mr. Hoke’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Votaw Cemetery, Votaw.
