William C. Brown, 80, of Beaumont, died Monday, February 17, 2014, at Christus Hospital-St Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on January 24, 1934, to Ruby Gray Brown and William Clint Brown, in Anna, Texas. William retired from the United States Army after thirty years of service. After his retirement, he worked as a security guard at Pinkerton Security.

Survivors include his wife, Sybil Brown; son, Tom Brown and his wife, Kristi, of Beaumont; daughters, Connie Brown of Pinewood; Angie Brown of Jacksonville, Florida; and Patricia Brown Whittle and her husband, Jon, of Berkhamsted, England; grandchildren, Katherine “Katie” Raymond of Austin, Stevi Caldwell of Lubbock,  Anna Belle Whittle of England, Ella Brown and Walker Brown, both of Beaumont; stepchildren, George Blackwood and his wife, Marina, of Coppell; Scott Blackwood of Hemphill; and Cathy Harris and her husband, Daniel, of Abbeville, Louisiana; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Parker, Justin Harris, and Jeremy Harris; and four great-step-grandchildren.

A Rosary for Mr. Brown will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to follow, Friday, February 21, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with his entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
