Laura Elizabeth Marino Celeste, 92, of Beaumont, died Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. A native of Beaumont and longtime resident of Houston, she was born on July 10, 1921, to Katherine Ragusa Marino and Victor Marino. Laura was a retired bank teller.

She is survived by her sons, John Celeste and his wife, Rochelle, of Beaumont and Ronald Celeste of Houston; daughter, Marilyn McPherson and her husband, Carl, of Austin; grandchildren, Melissa Celeste of McKinney; Brian Celeste of Houston; Casey Gates and his wife, Traci, of Beaumont; Karen McPherson of Austin; Gabriel Celeste and his wife, Melissa, of Dallas; Daniel McPherson and his wife, Frances, of Austin; Todd Celeste and his wife, Emily, of Birmingham, Alabama; Haley Celeste Chance and her husband, Cody, of Houston; Kevin McPherson of Austin; and Zachary Celeste and his wife, Renee, of Lubbock; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Piper, Laura, Carson, and Charlotte; brother, Henry Marino and his wife, Donia; sisters, Mary Alice Snider and her husband, Frank and Fran Marino; and sister-in-law, Angela Marino.

A gathering of Mrs. Celeste’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February, 21, 2014, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
