David Wade Johnson, 51, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014. He was born on May 18, 1962, in Fort Worth, to Beverly and Don Johnson, and had been a longtime resident of the area. David was a former chemistry teacher with Port Neches-Groves High School.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Johnson; mother, Beverly Johnson; and aunt, Glenda Vacker, all of Beaumont; nephew, Brian Ogle and his wife, Stephanie, of Buda; cousins, Jerry Don Jackson of Beaumont and Carol Hill and her husband, Bruce, of Bedford; and special friends, Cristy and Lee Adams.

David is preceded in death by his father, Don Johnson of Fort Worth; and sister, Lori Carlene Johnson of Beaumont.

A committal for Mr. Johnson was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
