Louise Cotton Buzzingham, 82, of Sour Lake, died Thursday, February 6, 2014.  She was born on October 7, 1931, in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, to Lillie Mae Smith Cotton and John Wesley Cotton.

Survivors include her son, Gerald Ray and his wife, Alice, of Keller; daughters, Darlene Rugg and her husband, J.T. and Sandra Collins and her husband, Dallas, all of Sour Lake; grandchildren, B.J. Mauboules, Jessica Rugg, Kacy Rugg, and John Thomas Rugg IV; great-grandchildren, Justen Gravett, Kevin Mauboules, Rowan Reyes, Micah Ashlyn Gravett, Coleen and Emma Mauboules, and Ava Rugg;  and great-great-grandchildren, Riley and Sophia Gravett.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Buzzingham; granddaughter, Patricia Gravett Andrus; grandson, Micah “JoJo” Gravett; sisters, Lazaeil Buchok, Lona Thompson, and Ann McDonald; and brother, Clemit Cotton.

A gathering of Mrs. Buzzingham’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
