Gladys Marie Broussard, 76, of Nome, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on May 19, 1937, to Doris Theriot and Rayhiel Brassier, in China.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Lee Broussard; daughters, Rayniel Bamert and her husband, Nick, of Muleshoe; Jeretta West and her husband, Donald, of Fredericksburg; and Ruby Schuldt and her husband, Rodger, of Dayton; grandchildren, Brett Bamert and his wife, Madison; Austin Bamert and his wife, Avery; Amy Burrier and her husband, Josh; Erin West; Landon West; Ryan Schuldt; and Randy Schuldt; and great-grandchild, Kayleigh Grace Burrier; and sister, Margie Hawley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Joseph Melo Broussard.

A gathering of Mrs. Broussard’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 US Highway 90, China, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
