Will Allen Richey 
February 19, 1923 - February 1, 2014

Will Allen Richey, 90, of Beaumont, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Village Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lumberton. A native of Converse, Louisiana, he was born on February 19, 1923, to Effie Drucilla Allen Richey and Herbert Rohelia Richey.

He was a 1941 graduate of South Park High School and a 1949 graduate of the University of Houston. He was a United States World War II Air Force veteran. Will was ordained a Deacon in 1957 with First Baptist Church in Cheek.

Survivors include his son, Dale Allen Richey and his wife, Deborah, of Kountze; daughter, Carol Lynn Pounders and her husband, Johnny, of Lumberton; granddaughters, Tammy Renee Richardson, Andrea Tiner, Stephanie Caraway, Amanda Coplen, and Kimberly Woods; grandson, James Brittan Seaman; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-eight years, Rose Marie Richey; sister, Dorothy Hodges; brother, Herbert “June” Richey; and grandson, Michael Dale Richey.

A gathering of Mr. Richey’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2013, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont.
