Dennis Wayne Rabalais, 40, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on May 7, 1973, to Rebecca Guillory Rabalais and Wayne Rabalais, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dennis was a kind man who loved and adored his family. He has been supported and encouraged by loving parents and a supportive sister. He was an energetic person who lived life to his fullest and enjoyed watching his New Orleans Saints. Dennis was an inspiration to a lot of people because of his strength and courage.  He was a fighter that fought to the end.  His pride and joy came from the love he had for his daughter, and she was and always will be the light in his eyes.

Survivors include his parents, Rebecca and Wayne Rabalais of Lumberton; daughter, Caroline Rabalais of Houston; sister, Eva-Marie Rabalais of Beaumont; cousins, Randy, Deidre, Amy, and Kenny; aunts, JoAnn Crossno, Special Aunt Karen Mayeux, and Linda Dean; uncles, Champ Crossno, Johnny Mayeux, and Everitt Dean; and grandmother, LurLine Rabalais of Covington, Louisiana.

A Rosary for Mr. Rabalais will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with his gathering to follow, Friday, January 31, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
