Earl Houston Ridley, 68, of China, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at Christus Dubuis Hospital, Beaumont. A native of Beaumont and longtime resident of China, he was born on August 8, 1945, to Mable Ernest Ridley and Earl Houston Ridley, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Molly Sue Ridley of China; daughters, Rhonda Rachelle Williams and her husband, Matt, of China and Jennifer Clark and her husband, Jason, of DeLand, Florida; grandchildren, Candace Williams, Tramon Williams, and Jaydon Williams, all of China, and T.J. Bryant, Justin Mahone, and Layla Clark, all of DeLand, Florida; and sisters, Joann Setliff and her husband, Johnny, of Nederland and Ferrel Ashby and her husband, Jerry, of Bridge City.

A gathering of Mr. Ridley’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2014, at China United Methodist Church, China, 205 West Washington Avenue, China. Interment will follow at China Cemetery, China, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
