Benjamin “Ben” Felix Duke, 67, of Dickinson, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in Houston.  He was born on October 25, 1946, in Houston, to Edna Mills Duke and James Duke.  Ben served his country in the United States Navy and later worked in construction as a pipefitter.

Survivors include his daughter, Bridgett Renae Byers of Farmersville; brothers, Royce Roch and his wife, Betty and Joseph Duke, all of Hockley; John Duke and his wife, Angie, of Magnolia; and Del Duke of Manuel; sisters, Georgia Kenyon of Colorado; and Mary Boyett and her husband, Reverend Archie Boyett, of Kountze; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lela Duke; and brother, Richard Roch.

A gathering of Mr. Duke’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
