Peggy Joyce Ramsey, 62, of Winnie, died Friday, January 17, 2014. She was born on July 30, 1951, to Nettie Lucille Smith and Francis Edward Bastine, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Peggy had worked as a switchboard operator for Winnie Community Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Ramsey of Winnie; grandson, Seth Gabriel Simon of Lubbock; sisters, Frances Wood and Ruby Bastine both of Petal, Mississippi; Angie Nelson of Sanford, Mississippi; and Janie Carswell of Winnie; brother, Jerry Bastine of Petal, Mississippi; numerous nieces; nephews; and other family.

Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Andrea Noelle Ramsey; brothers, Charles and David Bastine.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
