John Cecil Aycock III 
August 26, 1948 - January 16, 2014

John Cecil Aycock III, 65, of Nederland, died January 16, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  Born August 26, 1948, in Port Neches, he was the son of Norma Wheeler Aycock and John Cecil Aycock II, and was a United States Army veteran.  John was employed as an inspection engineer in the oil industry for forty-two years.  He enjoyed the beach, cooking, going to the casinos, hunting and fishing.  He spent lots of time in his garage and visiting with his neighbors.

 

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Ann Aycock of Nederland; sons, Chad Cecil Aycock and his wife, Kristie, and Justin James Aycock and his wife, Victoria, all of Nederland; mother, Norma Aycock of Nederland; sister, Gay Sanford and her husband, Jimmy, of Sour Lake; brothers, Norman Aycock and his wife, Dana and Cody Aycock all of Nederland; grandchildren, Kenzie, Josie, Easton and Nicholas Aycock and Sawyer Aycock.  John was preceded by his father, John Cecil Aycock II.

 

A gathering of Mr. Aycock’s family and friends will be Monday evening, January 20, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  Funeral service for Mr. Aycock will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Broussard’s followed by burial at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.
