Juanita Diaz, 78, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2014. Juanita was born on April 12, 1935, in Port Arthur, Texas. Her parents, Zeferino and Guadalupe Diaz, preceded her in death. Survivors to mourn her passing include her family of Linda and Merle Nail; two sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and her little dog, Pepper.

Juanita served many years as a nurse with the Texas Department of Corrections and local hospitals. She enjoyed her yard, garden, and many different pet animals through the years.

A Christian Vigil for Miss Diaz will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
