Phyllis Karen Weatherford. 65, of Beaumont, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born January 21, 1948, in Beaumont, to Susie Ann and Ira O’Neil Humphries, and had been a resident of the Beaumont area all of her life. 

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Earl Weatherford, Jr. and his wife, Denise S., of Fredericksburg; Edward Earl Weatherford and his wife Donna L. of The Woodlands; Rev. Philip Earl Weatherford and his wife, Amy L., of Lumberton; and Jonathan Earl Weatherford of Beaumont; daughter, Elizabeth Suzette Warren and her husband, Charles, of Beaumont; father, Ira O’Neil Humphries of Beaumont; sister, Janice Earl of Orange; grandchildren, Nathan Bradley, Sterling Smith, Asher O’Neil, Edward Jordan, Dylan Blake, Mackenzie Nicole, Cameron Philip, Haley Brook, Maizy Caroline, and Joseph Ryan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Earl Weatherford Sr.; mother, Susie Ann Humphries; brother, Rev. Ira O’Neil Humphries Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. Weatherford’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Praise Church, 8325 Walker Road, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
