Bobby Lee Daugherty, Sr., 83, of Hankamer, died Friday, January 10, 2014, at St. James House in Baytown. Mr. Daugherty was born May 24, 1930, in Mill Creek, Oklahoma, to Trudie Norman and Bill Daugherty. Bobby had been a resident of the Hankamer area since 1978, and worked for Bechtel Corporation, as a welding inspector.
Mr. Daugherty was a great inspiration and mentor to his six children. He was always there to offer support and encouragement in everything they did. He leaves behind a powerful legacy.
Mr. Daugherty is survived by his sons, Glenn Daugherty of Alvin; Rick Daugherty and his wife, Sharon, of Cold Spring; Bobby Daugherty, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, of Anahuac; daughters, Linda Cessac and her husband, Wayne, of Evanston, Wyoming; Paula St. Charles and her husband, David, of Houston; Karen Pierce and her husband, Eddie, of Raywood; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Patricia Paul Daugherty.
A gathering of Mr. Daugherty’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Anahuac Cemetery, Anahuac.
