Clara Mae LaComb, 79, of Kountze, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Kountze Nursing Center, Kountze.  She was born on July 9, 1934, in Logan, Kentucky, to Georgia Christine Sawyer Stratton and Louis Pitt Stratton, and had been a longtime resident of Kountze.

Survivors include her son, Jeff LaComb and his wife, Lisa, of Kountze; brothers, Daniel Stratton and his wife, Rosie, of Groveton and DeWayne Stratton and his wife, Charlie, of Winnie; grandchildren, Trey Brothers and his wife, April; Angela Richardson and her husband, Ian; Troy Brothers and his wife, Ashlyn; and Jeffery Lee LaComb and Cheyenne Parkerson; great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Brothers and Kori LeBlanc.

A gathering of Mrs. LaComb’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  Her funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
