Keiron Deontay Edwards, 18, of Kountze, died Friday, January 3, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  He was born on August 10, 1995, in Beaumont, and was a senior at Kountze High School where he played basketball.

Survivors include his mother, Deidra Lacy; step-mother, Arletha Edwards; brothers, Bradley Edwards, Jeffrey Edwards, J.W. Edwards, Benjamin Edwards, J.W. Dye, Jerry Dye, Xavier Lacy, Carson Collins, and J.J. Edwards; sisters, Valerie Edwards, Vera Edwards, Jaleesa Edwards, Ingrid Edwards, and Arlyssa Williams; grandmother, Marie Lacy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by sister, Barbara Edwards.

A gathering of Keiron’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Kountze High School Lions Den, 1488 FM 1293, Kountze.  Interment will follow at Trinity Valley Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
