Dorothy Mae DeLatte, 96, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was born on December 6, 1917, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Pauline Schmidt Fisher and Charles Henry Fisher, and had been a resident of Beaumont since 1937. Dorothy was a retired registered nurse with Beaumont Neurological Center, Beaumont.

She is survived by her daughters, Polly Lachney of China and Mary Kelley of Beaumont; grandchildren, Rusty Lachney and his wife, Vannessa, of Groves; Donna Ellis and her husband, Dennis, of Austin; Glen Lachney and his wife, Melissa, of China; and William Kelley; and great-grandson, Steven Ellis of Austin.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleve Joseph DeLatte; brother, Robert Fisher; and son, Bob DeLatte.

A gathering of Mrs. DeLatte’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
