Herbert Clark 
April 6, 1931 - December 22, 2013

Herbert Clark, 82, of Lumberton, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on April 6, 1931, in Raywood, Texas, to Nancy Hatchell Clark and Rhea Clark, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. Herbert was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He retired as a crane operator with Great Lakes Carbon, Port Arthur.

 

Herbert is survived by his wife, Blanche “Sissy” Clark of Lumberton; children, Arlene Woodall and her husband, Danny; Mark Clark; Tommye Ann Rivers and her husband, Steve; and Glenn Clark and his wife, Rachel; grandchildren, Thomas Woodall; Amanda Coplen and her husband, James; Matthew Woodall; William Drake, Tori Drake, and Erik Clark; great-grandchild, Mason Coplen; sister, Bobbie Mayes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Falke; and grandson, PFC David Drake.

 

A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
