Kevin Joseph McGown, 56, of Houston, formerly of Beaumont, died Monday, December 16, 2013, at Ben Taub General Hospital, Houston. He was born on June 1, 1957, to Ann Ora Patureau McGown and William Leroy McGown, Sr., in Beaumont. Kevin was a 1975 graduate of Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School and then went on to study music at Lamar University.

Survivors include his sister, Patricia McGown Bouillion of Grand Prairie; brother, William LeRoy McGown, Jr., of Payson, Arizona; brother-in-law, Richard Miller of South Bend, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Renee, Laurie, Kristen, Rachel, Kelly, Patrick, Melissa, Daniel, and Alison;  many great-nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael McGown; and sister, Mary McGown Sexton.

A graveside service for Mr. McGown will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
