John Verrett

John Verrett, 52, of Beaumont, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on July 31, 1961, in Port Arthur, to Agnes Marie Pousson and Richard “Red” Verrett, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
John was known for being quite, easy going, kind hearted, and for his funny sense of humor. He loved to play video games, read books, play cards, and listen to talk radio, Jazz, and Country music.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes Marie Verrett of Beaumont; brothers, Dennis Verrett of Livingston; Mike Verrett and his wife, Diana, of Lillington, North Carolina; Richard Verrett of Beaumont; Lawrence Verrett of Houston; Paul Verrett of Nome; and Steven Verrett of Beaumont; sisters, Margaret Bagley and her husband, Terry, of Silsbee; Frances Parfait of Vidor; Kay Verrett of Beaumont; and Janice Parfait of Vidor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Verrett and father, Richard “Red” Verrett.
A gathering of Mr. Verrett’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. |
