Imogene A. Gillespie, 90, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on December 26, 1922, to Alice Elizabeth Cruz and Burt Cecil Duke, in Atlanta, Texas, and had been a resident of this area for most of her adult life. Imogene was a member of West End Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Raymond Gillespie of Port Neches and Kenneth Gillespie of Beaumont; sister, Juanita Leslie of Atlanta; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A gathering of Mrs. Gillespie’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2013, at O’Farrell Cemetery, Highway 995, Atlanta.
