Charles M. Dean, 87, of Arlington, died Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Green Oaks Nursing and Rehab, Arlington.  He was born on March 1, 1926, in Woodville, to Vida Watts Dean and Esca Dean.  Charles was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II and was a retired offshore surveyor. 

Survivors include his sons, Charles W. Dean and Ronnie Dean and his wife, Deborah, all of Arlington; Bobby Dean and his wife Becky, and Jerry Dean and his wife, Karen, all of Duson, Louisiana; sixteen grandchildren; and brother, Luther Dean of San Antonio.

A gathering of Mr. Dean’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fellowship Cemetery, Warren.
