Joyce Elaine “Honey” Leger Miller, 73, of Winnie, died on
Saturday, November 30, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born on
February 22, 1940, in Winnie, to Amelia Leger and Emile Leger. Joyce, or “Honey”, as she was nicknamed by her father, was
a devout Catholic who loved the Church, reading the Bible, and praying the Holy
Rosary. She loved music and singing, working jigsaw puzzles and playing games
with her grandchildren. She was an excellent seamstress and loved working with
and caring for her mother. Joyce loved cooking and was known for her homemade
bread, pot pies, and okra and tomatoes. She enjoyed traveling with her husband
and kids around the country, and was blessed to visit many exciting places. She
loved her daughter-in-laws and son-in-laws as much as her own children and they
all loved her the same. She was the love of Wilbert’s life. Joyce centered her
life around her family, her husband, her parents, her brothers, and sisters,
and her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all of us. Survivors include her loving husband, Wilbert Miller, Sr.
of Fannett; sons, Wilbert “Buddy” Miller, Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Fannett;
