Shirley Ann Benoit, 75, of Port Arthur, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Cypress Glen Nursing Home, Port Arthur.  She was born on August 22, 1938, in Beaumont, to Claudia Breaux Benoit and Clevance J. Benoit.

Survivors include her brother, James Benoit of Haughton, Louisiana; sisters, Merdie Winzer of Dickinson, Leona Louviere of Port Arthur, Viola Blanchard Moss of Nederland, Mary Braneff of Vidor, Eloise Sparks of Freeport, and Jo Ann McBride of Winnie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Claudia Benoit; and brothers, Howard and Chester Benoit.

A gathering of Ms. Benoit’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
