Jinx Marks, 69, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 25, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on November 24, 1944, to Bobbie Doris Neal and Thurman Miles, Sr., in Hull, and had been a resident of this area for fifty-eight years. Jinx worked for the court reporting firm, Nell McCallum and Associates.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Gary Austin Marks; son, Coy Lynn LaSalle and his wife, Lisa; stepson, Dameon Marks and his wife, Misty; and brother, Thurman Miles, Jr. and his wife, Terrye, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Gabrielle LaSalle; Caden LaSalle; Brock LaSalle; Jared LaSalle and his wife, Allison; Juliet LaSalle; Dylan Boudreaux; Austin Marks; and Aiden Marks; great-grandchild, Noah LaSalle; and brother-in-law, Russell D’Wayne Marks.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Eric.

A gathering of Mrs. Marks’ family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
