Joann Brown Dupuy Youngblood, 82, of Beaumont, died Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Lucas House, Beaumont. She was born on July 24, 1931, to Zena Maurine Gunn Brown and Dorsett Virgil Brown, and had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area. Joann was an office manager for Dr. Toomim.

She is survived by her children, Susan Dupuy Gibbs, Kim Brawley and her husband, Rodney, Karen Smith and her husband, Brady, Kathy Youngblood, and Kay Robison and her husband, Ron; and Kevin Youngblood and his wife, Mary; grandchildren, Steven Kyle Gibbs; Matthew Gibbs and his wife, Erica; Mason Brawley and his wife, Stephanie; Larra Brawley; Brent Youngblood and his wife, Katie; Megan Youngblood; and John Lowe; and great-grandchildren, Jaydon Gibbs, Grayson Gibbs, Olivia Gibbs, Piper Brawley, and Mary Brawley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Youngblood; parents; daughter, Janis Dupuy; and son, Herbert Dupuy, Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. Youngblood’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2013, at First Christian Church, 5290 North Caldwood Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
