Effie Anderson, 70, of Fannett, died Monday, November 11, 2013. She was born November 28, 1942, to Annie and Lucian Knoblock in Nederland.  Effie was co-owner of SEC Mortgage for many years but mainly devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and going to the beach.

Effie is survived by her husband, Harold “Andy” Anderson of Fannett; stepson, Raymond Lee Anderson and his wife, Linda, of China; stepdaughter, Connie Sue Anderson and her partner, Keri Merciez of Katy; sister, Carol Sue Knoblock of Nederland; granddaughter, Dawn Havens and her husband, Jason, of League City; grandsons, Aaron George and Jeremy Harrington of Fannett; great-grandchildren, Jace and Addison Havens; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews of whom she cared for as her own.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, L.J. Knoblock and Eddie Paul; sisters, Marie Doucet and Violet Dillon; stepdaughter, Sherri Harrington; and granddaughter, Misty Anderson.

A gathering of Mrs. Anderson’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Beaumont, with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
