Leon Aiena, 83, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on August 7, 1930, to Concettina Moriella and Ingnagio Aiena. Leon retired as a machine operator for Jefferson County Precinct 4 and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Yvonne Aiena; children, Alida Smith and husband, Mike; Sharon Smith and husband, James; Debbie Morrell and husband, Paul V.; Leon Aiena, Jr. and wife, Kassy; and Mark Aiena and wife, Susan; brother, Joe Aiena; sisters, Annie Marino, Mary Strother, and Pearl Rhoney; grandkids, Michael Smith, Janet Brown, Tanya Smith, Frank Morrell II, Leon Morrell, Alyssa Aiena, and Mark Aiena, Jr.; and six loving great-grandkids; and many nieces, nephews, and long time friends.
