Maureen Theresa Skinner, 65, of Lumberton, died Monday, November 4, 2013.  She was born on April 17, 1948, in Montclair, New Jersey, to Helen Taylor McFarland and Howard McFarland.  Maureen worked as a special education teacher for over thirty years.

Survivors included her husband, James R. Skinner; children, Kelly Skinner James, and her husband, David and Jennifer Lee Skinner, all of Lumberton; and Joshua R. Skinner of Centerville, Virginia; grandchildren, Kate and Charlie James; sister, Pat Abramson of Media, Pennsylvania; and brother, Bill McFarland of Michigan.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Michelle Skinner; Colleen Skinner; and Laura Skinner; and son, Thomas Skinner.

A gathering of Mrs. Skinner’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton, with interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
