Norma Jean McVey, 64, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Beaumont Healthcare Center. A native of Beaumont, and longtime resident of Gulf Breeze, Florida, she was born on May 24, 1949, to Ruth Leland and Lecil Silcox, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Lee McCord and her husband, Rich, of Fairhope, Alabama; son, James McClelland of Sour Lake; sisters, Crystal Byerly and Elizabeth Silcox; brothers, Richard Silcox, Shelton Silcox, and Lecil Silcox, Jr., and grandchildren, Ashton and Trevor McCord.

Mrs. McVey was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Faye Leavings; and brother, Gilbert Silcox.

A memorial service for Mrs. McVey will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
