Janis Lee Higginbotham-Hebert, 57, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Christus Hospital, St. Mary, in Port Arthur. She was born December 27, 1955, to Janet Marie Clay and John Higginbotham, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Janis was known for her hard work, kindness and good cooking. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Janis is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Noie Hebert; daughter, Kasey Hebert; son, Eric Hebert ; granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth, all of Port Arthur; and brother, John B. Higginbotham of Houston.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of Mrs. Hebert’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
