Mona P. Elliott, 88, of Sour Lake, died Monday, October 14, 2013, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.  She was born on May 8, 1925, in Humble, to Eva Louise Way Pullen and Horace Pullen, and had been a longtime resident of Sour Lake.

Survivors include her son, Robert Elliot of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Sean Elliott and his wife, Karla, of Canada and Erin Elliott and her husband, Scott, of Katy; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Pullen and his wife, Floy, of Vidor.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John D. Elliott; two brothers; and two sisters.

A gathering of Mrs. Elliott’s family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze, with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
