K.C.
James, Jr., 65, of Nederland, died Friday, October 11, 2013. He was born
September 8, 1948, to Vida Lee Mathern and Kay Clinton James, Sr. K.C. was a
veteran of the United States Army and Vietnam Veteran, having served in the 101st
Airborne. He retired from Dupont refinery after working as a mechanic for
thirty-five years. K.C. was a member of the Nederland Masonic Lodge, # 1368
A.F. & A.M., Spindletop Street Rod Car Club and was also an Eagle Scout. He
enjoyed rebuilding engines,working on old cars and spending time with his
granddaughters and grand dogs.

is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Jonell James; daughter, Krissy
Borne and her husband, Jason; son, Clint James and his wife, Felicity, all of
Nederland; granddaughters, Jessica and Lilly James; and sisters, Kathy Landry
and her husband, Tom, of The Woodlands and Karen Zalar of Cypress Spring.
He
is preceded in death by his parents.
A
gathering of Mr. James’ family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with a
funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2013, at Broussard’s,
505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff
Memorial Park, Port Neches.
