Lealon "Lee" Ray Jenkins 
October 24, 1940 - October 3, 2013

Lealon “Lee” Ray Jenkins, 72, of Beaumont, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at his home with his wife and children at his side. He was born on October 24, 1940, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to the late Lula Good Jenkins and Clarence Jenkins.

Lee moved to the area in 1978, and he and his wife Janice operated JanCo General Contractors until retiring in 2004. Their largest remodeling project was the couple's historic home. He was a wonderful family man who enjoyed tinkering with his vintage cars, spending mornings at Shipley's Donuts, and extensive traveling across the United States.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Janice Kay O'Meara Jenkins; daughters, Ginger Burgess and her husband, Bob, of Galveston; Jill Borque of Sour Lake; son, Jeremy Jenkins of Katy; grandchildren, Alaina Yepez, Gabriel Yepez, Adrian Yepez, and Kelsea Borque; and, numerous family members and friends.

The family thanks everyone who supported Lee including M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Altus Hospice and all other medical professionals involved in his care.

Cremation arrangements were handled under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
