Pat Talbot

Pat
Talbot, 81, of Port Arthur, died Saturday, September 28, 2013. He was born on
August 23, 1932, to Bertha and Fernand Talbot, and had been a lifelong resident
of the area. Pat retired from Texaco Refinery after working forty-three years
as a machinist. He enjoyed raising and showing chickens in his spare time and
loved dancing with his wife to Cajun music. Pat
is survived by his son, Barry Talbot and his wife, Denise, of Nederland;
daughters, Gina Gutierrez and her husband, Ricky, of Groves and Janice Talbot
of Nederland; grandchildren, Jarrod Talbot and his wife, Brandi; Devin Talbot;
Morgan Talbot; Nicole Hall and her husband, Josh; Allison Gutierrez; and Jacob
Ramagos; great-grandchildren, Kayden Talbot, Ava Talbot, Rachel Hall, and Kaleb
Hall; sister, Vivian Brown of Austin; and brother, Curt Talbot and his wife,
Belle. He
is preceded in death by his parents; wife of sixty years, Mary Talbot;
daughter, Karen Talbot; and brother, Joe Talbot. A
gathering of Mr. Talbot’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at
Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at St.
Therese, The Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Avenue, Port
Arthur, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches. Our
family would like to thank Lizette Ellis, her family, and the girls for the
excellent and loving care they gave to our dad. Also, Odyssey Hospice, Bree and
all the Odyssey family.
