Richard Edward Savacool, 44, of Vinton, Louisiana, died Friday, September 27, 2013, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lake Charles.

Richard was a Merchant Marine most of his adult life and later as a first mate with the marine division of the Isle of Capri. He loved being with his family and friends. Richard was a loyal friend who could be called on at any time and if you were his friend, you were his friend for life.

Richard is survived by his mother, Bobbi Miller of Vinton, Louisiana; sister, Destiny Luv Miller; nieces, Faith Luv Force, Harmony Luv Force, Trinity Luv Force; nephews, Kaleb Ray Force and Elijah Max Miller all of Winnie; aunts, Lavella Railey of Woodville; Shirley Partlow of Livingston; Opal Brown of Winnie; and Suzie Brown of Melbourne, Florida; uncles, Al Brown and his wife, Jean, of Conroe; and Dan Brown and his wife Becky, of Morgan City, Louisiana; and numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., First Baptist Church, 1638 Weeks Avenue, High Island, His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers, Beaumont, Texas.
