Gerel Lenord Wilson, 86, of Winnie, died Friday, September 21, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont.

He was born on July 7, 1927, in St. Joe County, to Rhonda Ellis Wilson and Oscar Wilson. Gerel was a retired machinist with Ohmstead, Beaumont.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his sons, John Wilson and his wife, Jonnette; Jude Wilson and his wife, Anna, all of Winnie; Jim Wilson and his wife, Lynda of Warren; and Joe Wilson of Brenham; daughter, Joan Yost and her husband, Jason of Winnie; brother, Billy Wilson of Bowie; sister, Jewel Tedder of Fort Worth; and numerous other family members and friends.

A gathering of Mr. Wilson’s family and friends will be from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4955 Park Street, Beaumont.
