Payton Bagwell, 28, of Beaumont, died Monday, September 23, 2013. A native and lifelong area resident, he was born on October 7, 1984, in Beaumont, and was a 2003 graduate of Vidor High School. Payton was a big NASCAR fan, and he loved the game of baseball.

Survivors include his son, Mason Lane Bagwell of Cypress; parents, Terry and Frank Villiva of Beaumont; grandparents, Elizabeth and Danny Brown of Beaumont and Aline Roedl of Fredonia, Kansas; brother, Jason Ross Bagwell and his wife, Stacy, of Lufkin; sister, Rachel Bagwell of Houston; and aunts, Judy McInerney of Oldtown, Idaho, Lynette Brown of Beaumont, and Nannette Ferguson of Kansas City, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, Scott Brown.

A gathering of Mr. Bagwell’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013, at Broussard’s. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
