William J. “Buddy” White, 79, of Nederland, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.  Born August 14, 1934, in Red Lick, Texas, he was the son of Mary Pauline White and Samuel Clyde White, Sr.  A 1954 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a United States Army Veteran, Buddy was a banker for thirty-three years and a charter member of the Mid-County Noon Optimist Club. 

He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn White of Nederland; son, Randy C. White and his wife, Rhonda, of Nederland; granddaughter, Brandy Carcamo of Florida; nieces, Darlene Welch and her husband, Mike, of Port Neches and Carolyn Taylor of Port Arthur; nephew, Ronnie Dale Finch and his wife, Susan, of Groves; many great-nieces and nephews; and his grand dog, Scooter.

A gathering of Mr. White’s family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
