Virginia M. Broussard, 87, of Hemphill, died Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Sabine County Hospital. She was born on August 23, 1926, in Orange, to Gladerine Angelina Bourgeois and Leufroy Dennis Broussard.

Survivors include her brother, James Broussard and his wife, Ida, of Hemphill; sister, Theresa M. Malloy of Chesapeake, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of Miss Broussard’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2013, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Orange.
