Jane Ellen Goff
DeVillier, 70, of Nederland, died Friday, September 13, 2013, at Harbor Hospice
in Beaumont. She was born August 2, 1943, to Alice and Clyde Goff in Port
Arthur, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Jane worked for
twenty-one years as an office manager with Insurance Service Company. She later
worked at Baptist Student Union, located on Lamar University’s campus. Jane was
a member of Port Arthur and Mid-County Pilot Club and an active member of First
Baptist Church, Nederland. In addition to teaching Sunday school, she was
involved with the church’s Silver Tones Choir, Adult Bell Choir and directed
the Children’s Bell Choir in both Port Arthur and Nederland. Jane enjoyed sewing,
traveling and especially spending time with her family. She is
survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Kenneth DeVillier; sons, Kenneth
Ray DeVillier and his wife, June, of Kingwood, Kraig Alan DeVillier and his
wife, Julie, of Nederland and Kory Michael DeVillier and his wife, Mary, of Groves;
grandchildren, Kasey, Tracy, Kira, Kody, Kristal, Kayla, Kimberly and Kendal;
great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Zayden, Kolton and Luke; and a host of additional
relatives and friends. A gathering of
Mrs. DeVillier’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.,
Monday, September 16, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street,
Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013,
at Broussard’s, with Reverend Doctor Jason Burden officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial
Park, in Groves. Memorial
