Joyce Marie Albritton 
July 4, 1936 - September 11, 2013

Joyce Marie Albritton, 77, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care, Silsbee. She was born on July 4, 1936, to May Wallace Lewis and Harlon Edward Lewis, in Centerville, and had been a resident of this area since 1960. Joyce retired from Hamshire-Fannett Middle School, where she worked as a teacher.

 

Survivors include her husband, Allen Albritton; son, Ronald Albritton and his wife, Emily, of Beaumont; daughter, Phyllis Pickering and her husband, Terry, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Andrienne Mays and her husband, Joe, of Holly Springs, North Carolina; Joshua Pickering of New York, New York; and Shelbi Pickering of Lumberton; sister, Glenna Martin and her husband, Harold, of Lumberton; brother, David Lewis and his wife, Judy, of Lumberton; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

 

A gathering of Mrs. Albritton’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013, at The Apostolic Church, 3333 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, at The Apostolic Church, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
